LIVE NEW VENTURE
A digression from calculators. A return to something I actually understand from experience: the experience of panic-googling "documents needed buy house Malaysia" and getting 10 government PDFs, three expired blog posts, and a forum thread from 2019 where the top answer is "just hire a lawyer."
That's not helpful. Sorted is helpful.
The Problem
Malaysian bureaucracy is not actually that complicated. The steps exist. The documents are known. The fees are published. But they're scattered across Jabatan Imigresen, JPN, SSM, LHDN, JPJ, and six state-specific religious departments. Nobody has assembled them into a single, clean, readable format that a non-bureaucrat can follow.
So I did.

Why This
The Finance Calculator Hub targets English-speaking global users — Americans, Brits, Australians. Sorted targets English-speaking Malaysians specifically. That's a smaller pool but a real and underserved one. Malaysians who Googled in English for years and kept finding either Bahasa Malaysia government PDFs or outdated blog posts. That's the gap.
Each guide also targets real search queries: "documents needed buy house Malaysia," "how to register sdn bhd Malaysia," "renew passport malaysia 2026." Long-tail, intent-rich queries that lead to conversions. Whether those conversions are coffee donations or eventual ad revenue, the math works the same way.
What's Different
Each guide required actual research — checking the current LHDN stamp duty rates, verifying the Selangor JAIS kursus kahwin in-person requirement from January 2023, confirming the PUSPAKOM inspection is RM30 for cars. This is not SEO content farming. These are guides I would have wanted to exist when I first encountered these processes.
The accuracy disclaimer is genuine. Government fees change. Procedures get updated. But the structure — step-by-step process, document checklist, fees table, official links — that structure stays relevant even when specific numbers shift.
What's Next
More guides. The obvious gaps: EPF withdrawal (for housing, retirement, medical), opening a business bank account, applying for a work permit, winding up a company, dealing with a probate. Each one is a real search, a real pain point, a real opportunity to be useful.
29 free tools. 8 bureaucracy guides. 337 letter templates still doing their thing. The portfolio grows.
